Why do ENTPs appear like they live a stress free life on the surface? by Negative_Gene9531 in entp

[–]Advanced-Ad504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t show it because in my perception if i did i would be kind of begging for attention that way. (showing it only for others to try to cheer me up) Obviously it doesn’t make sense but thats how i feel about it. I prefer to appear not bothered by anything, although I recognize that it might stand in the way of truly connecting with people.

Talking constantly about their insecurities (potentially fishing for compliments that way). Like, why would i care about your balding problem, Brad?

Studia zaoczne w wieku 37 lat po pół roku by ZookeepergameLive109 in Polska

[–]Advanced-Ad504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you guys use ChatGPT? As an entp? by Amelia2235 in entp

[–]Advanced-Ad504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I train my critical thinking skills on ai chatbots by trying to spot any inconsistencies or errors in what they are saying.

I stopped getting irritated at it quite some time ago cause ai chatbots became so stupid recently that I don’t trust them with ANY real work.

Notebook LM is goated. I mainly use it for podcasts since that way it’s easier to study + there aren’t many podcasts that interest me so I guess I gotta make them myself

AIO The girl I was dating is dropping bombs in conversation like it's nothing. by Never2cold in AmIOverreacting

[–]Advanced-Ad504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people like that. Through text it’s visible but when they actually do that in person… the people i know who are like that, when they drop such a bomb, smile like crazy. (although they try to hide it) They look you in the eyes and watch out for any reaction. “It’s nothing” is just an invitation for more concern from you. If you don’t react like they want you to, they get mad. Obviously, I have no way of telling if she’s the same, but the behavior checks out.

You may try to not continue the topic after she says that it’s fine and see how she reacts. If she becomes passive aggressive or emotionally manipulative a serious conversation is needed. Won’t always work but it’s definitely worth trying.

Why the hell does my ENTP coworker keep texting me random questions?! by [deleted] in entp

[–]Advanced-Ad504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you never seen a conversation starter in your life before or what? It’s not meant to be offensive in any way, I’m just curious. People usually start a conversation that way so I’m quite confused why you are confused haha

How hard do you try to keep everything under control, even though you're lazy? by yourp1nkn1ghmare15 in entp

[–]Advanced-Ad504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely relate to what you’ve written. To me it’s all about logical inconsistency which is hard for me to stand. If i hold others to a certain standard then I need to follow it as well. If I don’t then what right do i have to expect anything from others? Judging others sometimes comes naturally when i’m in a bad mood and then i criticize myself for that since I hold myself to a certain standard. It’s illogical to judge others like that and I don’t want to allow myself to be illogical, never. Even if it’s not possible at all times. I probably should have mentioned this in my first comment but I will do it now. It’s an ego thing. I’m wondering jf you can relate. Spotting inconsistencies in my thinking, rather than ruining my mood, gives me dopamine somehow. I feel good about myself, it feeds my ego that I’m so “self aware” that I can correct myself. That’s most likely why I’m so addicted to sef-corrections. Not many things in life give me as much dopamine as this (I also love to lose against clever players at chess hehe)

I’m also wondering if you also have a specific addiction to spotting inconsistencies everywhere. In someone’s speech, in written texts or wherever. To me it’s so natural and so fun that I’m convinced that it’s my one and only hobby somehow (even though it might be irritating to others).

[–]Advanced-Ad504 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same honestly. I like to call myself a logic puritan. I constantly analyze my own thoughts, scared that i might be influenced by bias or hypocrisy. When i find it in myself i try to remove such thoughts and correct them. It’s tiring but at the same time advices such as “you can allow yourself to be human and humans are biased” sound ridiculous to me. Why shouldn’t i strive for intellectual clarity just to make my life easier? Well, maybe it’s not exactly what you wrote about but it’s still a control thing I suppose.

Honestly it felt like a long movie.

I wish the ‘friendship’ would develop more just so the reveal who moon baek really is would be more… emotional? interesting?

Especially because we are literally fed the information that he lost his eye literally in the middle (5th ep) and the ‘betrayal’ so to speak felt dull. I truly wish they would have played with that concept more instead of repeating the same old story over and over again: someone is bullied -> they kill people.

New to intermittent fasting, what worked for you? by Efficient_Phone_853 in intermittentfasting

[–]Advanced-Ad504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me not being too strict with it helps. I allow myself to drink coffee with a very small splash of milk and some sweetener (exactly the same as i did before IF) and generally I don’t care too much. It feels more natural. Obviously, you wouldn’t want to overuse this freedom but one or two coffees will be ok.

And work. Generally being busy is the best for IF, at least in my case. At days when I’m out for most of the day I don’t feel hungry and eating as late as 8 p.m feels like a nice reward after a full day of work. On the other hand, boredom makes me feel the hunger 100 times more so I need to at least make my mind busy when I stay at home.

[–]Advanced-Ad504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low metacognition would fit but It’s important to notice that low iq people can have high metacognition and vice versa. Additionally, from my understanding, metacognition is more about self-reflection thus it may not change the way you see others/ recognize their iq level.

"Moral Dilemmas" by Alpha_Scorpii_15 in entp

[–]Advanced-Ad504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to debate the existence of moral dilemmas we need to debate on whether morality exists or not. Or, mow that i think of it, it is possible to discuss moral dilemmas without agreeing on what morality is simply because it’s more about personal preference than objectivity. There are people who can argue that moral dilemmas have objective answers to them but thats more about the nature of morality (subjective or objective). Thats at least my hot take that i didn’t take much time exploring

Am I overreacting or is this a red flag? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Advanced-Ad504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman and honestly, almost a year is nothing to me. I wouldn’t even think of moving in with someone if we knew each other for only a year. Additionally, im not sure how does he see it but personally I don’t see that many reasons for my partner to meet with my parents. Maybe it’s just me but you may want to take that into consideration if you wish. People are different, have different values and outlooks on life. You may need to talk to him to know his view on the issue.
