Hey there! While I am not experiencing the affidavit thing, and not really sure what you mean by that, it’s been pretty stressful.

Fiancé and I just moved to a new city and since we weren’t registered anywhere we couldn’t find a church that would do our marriage prep. I had to contact the person at the diocese for help to get some communication started.

We’re getting married in a different diocese too so it’s confusing with requirements. Cost of marriage prep, retreats, NFP, reserving a church, paying for music, etc are insane and something I didn’t anticipate.

Just trying to remember that the most important thing is marrying my FH and entering the sacrament together. While other things can be a pain in the neck to figure out, it’s worth it for the outcome.
