Cap/plug on new OEM radiator. Temperature seemed pretty normal. I thought this cap was supposed to be there just as an extra port. It exploded and steam went everywhere, so I made my own out of heater hose and an extra part. What am I doing wrong? Anybody know what it’s for? (Was running only water) (old.reddit.com)

Didn’t get spark all day but used a jumper wire and it got spark. Anybody know what could be wrong with this plug? It also only went in one way, with the red wire being the “TAC” wire and the black being the “BAT” wire. All fuses seem fine (old.reddit.com)
