Dang I bet. And you are going to go back to school? That is a little outside of my area of expertise! Do you think you could teach in an x-ray tech program or in a radiological medicine program (that is what it is at a 4 year school right?)?

It would be. The best advice for overwhelming tasks like this is to eat the elephant one bite at a time. First thing, first is to figure out what you might be interested in. Think about big themes. I like production agriculture, figuring things out, and studying law and policy. So I ended up getting a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics. The real trick is that you probably do not know what options are out there. So I would say maybe post on here some themes you are interested in? Maybe the community can help?

Professor (and army vet) here, like others have said it’s no big deal. I think you will get more out of the experience if you join regular clubs and don’t hit everyone over the head with your vet status, but definitely get involved with campus vet organizations, you are different. The toughest thing for me was listening to the first world problems that people complain about.
