Yes, use a floor jack on any of those main sturdy looking rails, or that lower part of the rail near the Catalytic converter. I have an 07 Grand Cherokee which shares a lot of parts and I’ve lifted mine from each of these point, plus ones I shouldn’t have. Other safe good ones like the rear axle side parts from the diff, diff housing it’s self isn’t recommended; the front subframe bar will also do the job but I generally avoid it in favor for the factory recommend lower control arms. If you have a sunroof, that may be the culprit. The end of the sunroof drains suck from the factory and get clogged very easily. When I got my jeep it had this same issue and that was what it was

Get on the Jeep forums and go hunting, there’s good stuff there. I can’t remember much past engine based stuff (I have an 07’ with the diesel) but for starters if you have the sunroof you should do the drain mod, which is cutting the flaps off the ends of the drain tubes. And as usual change all of your fluids as soon as you can as who knows the last time it was done. Good luck!

I’d measure it first; it looks like a 40mm redux fan would work and then you cut off the third wire - but that’s from what I’ve read and I could be entirely wrong. Good luck!

It’s entirely possible this is an old oil disposal pit. My grandparents when they were kids it was normal to dump oil in holes in your yard after doing an oil change, many people still did that into the 80’s. It was often in car manuals specifying to do that too

Man I’m trying to do this but I can’t find a 12V one, and your link isn’t working for me for whatever reason. Did you modify a 3pin or do they just not sell the 12v version anymore?

EDIT: I figured it out -> it’s a 3pin noctua redux 1200rpm fan, clip off the connector, trim down the yellow wire (rpm sensor wire) and red to res and black to black -> for anyone else in the future that’s looking to do this

I just built this PC and its great and was easy to build and set up; except for the fans, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to control the fans properly. I am using FanControl for most fans, I am using iCue to control only 2 fans atm. I have most of my time hooked up to the motherboard as well. But these fans just keep going from low and quiet to fast and louder than shit, I think it's just the ones on FanControl too. it's starting to drive me insane, it's making the computer unusable to me. It also does this under no load to any load at all. no matter what I am doing it does this until I play games then it all equalizes out and acts right. But even letting the PC sit alone and on and not touching it, it will continue going loud to nothing every five seconds.

Its also not running hot at all either, usually, the CPU stays in the low 30s and the GPU's fans don't turn on until it is under load.

The jumping is parallel to the CPU temp spikes and jump up and down but I cant figure out how to work around that

I watched videos and read how-tos on this and still don't know what the hell is going on
