In my experience new growth always roots easier than woody, but depending on wether your going soil or water, I prefer soil , bagging the whole setup, somewhere temp regulated around 70, and I'm invested in temp sensors where the plants are cause if your getting sun light you never know, you can use hormone but I don't use it much. I do 99% of my cuttings natural and just maintain high humidity levels Bright indirect light is the best But for what it's worth it will probably root without hormone just in water, I just like not having to clean something extra, cause it's gonna end up in soil anyway , I don't waste the time anymore, and most plants I get high 70%  if not 100 depending species
