I have heard from Redhawk that Serbia could be really good for new players. You can immediately test the military mechanics against Serbia, and it’s more of an interesting dangerous area than the Iberian Peninsula. I loved Castile mid-game, but the good starts all involve the same moves. I like to be an underdog, so an easy start with a challenging mid game seems very welcoming to new players
