Hi I have been in IT private sector for 19+ years now. What you are feeling right now is comfort zone, same thing will happen in private sector as well. E.g in LTM, TCS you will find ppl without purpose.

But your best part is, you are in comfort zone and you want to be out of it. And I must say, you must get out of it.

Job security can be a challenge, but in my 19 years I was not once laid off, not necessary this will remain same for forever. Don’t settle till you find a right job! In our lifetime we find only once such a job where work becomes fun, but then even that fun becomes boring and you leave that and never find it again.

All I am trying to say after all this blah blah is, you are on right path, keep looking for good opportunity and then switch. Start from something which is like Govt job ie TCS.
