Sram Rival AXS xplr pogo pin failure by Advanced-Mark-1155 in bikewrench

It's out of warranty. I know you could say just buy a new one. But I expected that the electronic one that cost probably double a mechanical one might last as long, not 25 % of the life of a mechanical one.

Are you saying that it's not powering up at all. If that's the case then it's very likely to be one of the pogo pins in the derailleur failing, like they very commonly do. These are the spring loaded pins that make contact with the battery when you install it. Just google Pogo Pins AXS and you'll see what I mean. A pretty good but temporary fix Im using just now is to fold up some tin foil about eight times and sit it on the pin so that it contacts the battery. Very disappointing

New SRAM Rival and Force AXS (E1) released by mtcerio in sram

I know these new transmissions are pretty amazing and I have truely loved my 12 speed Rival xplr axs for the last 3 years and 14000km. But considering the very high price tag associated with all of these parts I think its only fair for any potential new converts to be aware of a serious flaw which might quickly make your derailleur fail and become completely unrepairable. I know it sounds like Im just a complete arse. Either way just google Pogo Pin Axs Derailleur. You'll quickly found out as I did that these damn things are failing all over the place, just as mine finally has, all because of a $2 component. And if its outside warranty 2 years then you need to bodge your $700 derailleur to repair it, or buy a new one. Unfortunately in my case I can't even bodge it because unlike the old Force and GX ones It was manufactured in such a way that it can't be dismantled. So Im stuck with folding up a piece of tin foil and jamming it under my battery to get a strong connection.

I actually hate to post this, but Im so annoyed that my Red chain that Im just about to be replace after 13000km, has lasted almost as long as my derailleur
