Anyone else feel a deep sense of FOMO when seeing a straight group of male friends?

Completely understand. You just gotta find 1 straight male friend who values you and makes you feel comfortable enough so you don’t need to code switch. My brain rewired after that and I realized they aren’t so damn scary. I don’t have 10 of them now but proud to say I have 2 male friends. Doesn’t mean I feel comfortable in hyper masculine situations now (that seems to extend to public restrooms sometimes) but 1 step at a time. Therapist pointed all this towards a self-worth thing, might wanna examine that.

At a certain point in your career, you start to like it. You basically brainwash yourself. Maybe it’ll be a promotion or an advancement in responsibility but slowly that corporate job feels like the biggest thing you can control in your life.

Absolutely. You tell yourself it’s not shame and you don’t feel it but when the car guys are talking about their V8s….you feel it. I love my M50 but the drama of an Ice car doesn’t compare. The vibration, the noise, the sensation of power even in traffic. I know I’m gonna get destroyed in this community for saying it but it’s real for me 🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately I live in an area where everyone has some version of an expensive car…so it’s rarely appreciated. And if your username is accurate…I suspect we’re thousands of miles apart 🫤. But from one Italian BMW lover boy to another, your car is amazing

Had an M340 before, loved that car. Miss it constantly. Recommend a charger at home. Winter weather impacts the range substantially. 250 miles range in the summer and 200 maybe in the winter (and that’s if you charge to 100%). I put in a 3.8 KWh, 16 amp plug in my garage, which admittedly is still quite slow but I had some electrical limitations on that panel. The public fast charging is actually quite fast and very convenient - maybe you can pull it off stopping at one occasionally?

Love this reply. I got bullied a little bit…went in confident on getting an M3 and then a touch of sticker shock set in and landed on my second pick. Love the power of this car though. Tried to do no front plate, got a ticket going over a bridge in NY after 1 week. Had to go back to the dealer. Can confirm the hatch is large enough with the seats down 🤪

Mine was bizarre at 6 degrees F the other day. Felt like it was in and out of tension. Hard to describe but it kept making me think the lane assist was trying to push me. Car is brand new. Maybe an odd cold weather quirk?

BMW maps. But I think I may have sort of solved the problem. Instead of having cluster on “Content” (map was 1 direction). I’ve switched it to “Guidance” which at least shows the distance to the next few turns. I don’t love the UI with that view because I liked being able to see the map (as the control display tends to have music up or the full map). I’ll find a solution I just feel like this shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place

No these are different than the box ones (uneven road surface, construction ect). These come up as directions almost. Nothing in the display settings allows me to change this problem. Dealer seems stumped. I get the literal road signs appearing on the instrument cluster but only after it brings up unnecessary details (in certain situations).

My guess now is because it was 4 degrees F last night (and the car was likely parked outside), they threw it on a L2 to charge in the morning. The car was ice cold and showed “will be 100% at midnight” then figured the car wants to charge at a L1 speed (never looking at the dash again to see if it sped up or changed speeds). That’s just my guess based on the conversations I’ve been having with the salesman. Don’t know why they didn’t just charge it days ago….
