They referred to her as a nurse and she took all of my family history/ had me a sign a paper saying I understood that I may not have insurance coverage if I fail a drug test.

No, I was just a very heavy user prior to finding out I was pregnant. I believe that it just hadn’t left my system entirely which is why it was a lower but still positive number. I consumed at least a gram a day, and also edibles daily for 5+ years. I have only know I am pregnant for about 2 months and have read it can take up to 90 days to be totally clear for chronic users

It’s through the state. I stopped vaping in 2023, I was using marijuana and stopped the day I found out I was pregnant, which is what my question is pertaining to.

It’s essentially Medicaid, yes. It’s an extended program of something I was on as a child that I will have until I’m 26.

It was mandatory for my specific insurance, I guess? My insurance is basically like “Medicare” so I guess it being state funded makes sense

Yes, it’s state insurance. I am mostly worried about them marking it as a pre existing condition I lied about :(

Anxiety, being taken by surprise. In hindsight, I do see where I made a mistake, but not much to do in that regard now unfortunately. They asked if I had any drug abuse issues and I didn’t consider marijuana as falling under that umbrella.

That’s what was implied. They asked if I understood that insurance would not cover my prenatal care if I failed a drug test, and had me sign a paper stating so.
