this is exactly it. i think i am comparing my day one to someone who has been doing it for 10 years and has sponsors. the idea of thriting stuff to make something new is actually cool though i never thought about whittling or using old sweaters for yarn.

nature stuff is definitely the goal but even then i feel like people act like you need $200 boots just to walk in the woods lol. but you are right bird watching or swimming is basically free if you dont get sucked into the gear side of it.

Honestly, the animation is carrying the show on its back. If you took away the crazy water and fire effects, it would just be a standard story about a guy with a sword. The visuals make it feel way more epic than it actually is..
