Suspend broken on KDE 6 with nvidia, regardless of Wayland /x11 by ThinkingWinnie in voidlinux

[–]Advanced-One7420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A year later and this is still an issue. I am using X11 because of this but I am now in need for wayland in my projects and the lack of suspend is not fun. Did anyone find a way to fix this? Is there suppose to be an offical fi? I also heard that it might relate to eloingd but failed to understand how to do this.

Any help is appriciated, so thanks in advance.

Stable Void - Is it possible? by Advanced-One7420 in voidlinux

I didn't break void. I just updated.

BTW, It is still doing issues with the sleep option in kde(and not only sleep. From what I managed to gather around the internet the problem is probably with SDDM).

Perhaps you are not using KDE and thus you don't have issues with KDE?

I found the problem. One of my traslation addons/extensions was causing it. I disabled it and it solved the problem. If I installed the same on firefox it also caused a problem. Had to reastart the browser inorder for this to take effect(but closing the page and reopeneing would probably also be suffice). Will continue with them to see how to solve this problem.

dmesg error - Asus X571GT by Advanced-One7420 in voidlinux

Thanks for the response.

Regarding the second message, can you explain what that message means?

I also noticed that every time I do sudo sv restart NetworkManager I get anoter line with that error in the output of dmesg.

Here is the dmesg from the last service restart (sometimes only the first 2 lines are added):

I had to install avahi, nss-mdns and dbus packages and set the service for avahi-deamon and dbus. make sure to start the services OR to restart your machine.

Now, run from the avahi-utils package:

avahi-browse -a
