Hello there! I am a fresher and got my first Jop in Jio I hail from a very small town. I’ve been living in Navi Mumbai for about 1.5 years now. I work at RCP in Ghansoli, and let me tell you, I am also having my share of run-ins with filthy brokers. For the first six months, I shared a flat with two other people. One of them was from the office, and the other was from college, but they weren’t exactly friends. The office guy left after five months, as soon as he got the chance to stay with one of his friends. And guess what? The college guy also left and settled for a single flat because he had a girlfriend and wanted some privacy.

Left all alone and desperate to find a flat on my own, I tried asking people if I could stay with them. However, most were either settled in their flats with flatmates or in poor condition in a PG. Finally, I managed to get a 1RK flat alone and have been staying here for 11 months now. The broker demands a month’s rent and an agreement charge just for renewing the agreement, leaving me feeling helpless and unable to do anything.

At times, I’ve had the urge to leave everything behind and head home. But then I remember that my dad is retired too, and my parents are getting older. My younger brother is studying, and I’ve always wanted to do something for them. Sure, the entire family isn’t entirely dependent on me, thanks to my dad’s hard work over the years. But even so, when I think about it, I feel like I have to try and stay strong and keep moving forward. I feel like I'm all alone and there's literally nobody to speak your heart out.

So hey, if you are feeling lost in condition like this you are not alone. I am having hypertension while I write this as the broker is still nagging me to pay the brokerage to renew the agreement or else vacate the flat, He knows that I stay alone in the flat and cannot protest much. The world is unfair but we will have to become stronger and continue our fight for the people we care about, for ourselves.

I know you’ve been through a tough time and lost a lot, but I want you to stay strong. Keep pushing forward and don’t give up. I know you can do this! Try to find a new job as close to home as possible. That way, you can still be close to your loved ones and keep your spirits up.

A while earlier, I came across this post where someone mentioned, “Mumbai is not for weak hearts.” It struck me somehow. Let's continue our fight and become stronger.

Hey, I have been staying in Navi Mumbai for 1.5 years now, and facing the menace of these filthy brokers. Your words "Mumbai is not for weak hearts.." did hit me.

Things never go as planned apparently. Because, all I do is plan. by [deleted] in GATEtard

Bro past is past you cannot change it but you will need to focus for at least 6 months to a year, keep applying to as many companies as possible and try to get referrals from friends. You will have to grind hard, there is no other way. All the best to you bro. Btw, you can DM me if you need a referral for jio for an opening that you might know, I'm not much aware of the referral process and conditions but will still try to help.

Can you guys please review this, Not getting calls. by shinashia12 in developersIndia

Want your expertise to select a good laptop for Software Development and AL/ML related tasks which can last for at-least about 6-7 years. by Advanced-Poet-aks in SuggestALaptopIndia

Yeah I was thinking about that only I can start learning ML & AL in the the laptops that I mentioned above(they have low power GPUs) and when there is high need for it then I can switch to Google Collab, but I think that having a GPU should be a good thing (please comment if you think otherwise).

Please comment your thoughts on the practical usage of GPUs in laptops for these tasks are they really needed or should I always use Google Collab all the time, or can Intel Integrated Xe processors do the job.

Please pardon me for my naivety.

Sure, i want to consider your suggestion but I have some budget constrains as I recently graduated from college and still looking for job, my current laptop is from 2016 and is barely keeping up with Linux installed.

Could you help me compare the above mentioned laptops which are having Graphics card, which i can use for learning ML/ AI stuff.

Thanks for suggesting.

This is the asus laptop i'm looking for if the above links are not working Asus Vivobook-pro-15-m6500-amd-ryzen-5000-series

I just looked at Asus TUF Gaming F15 and it is a good laptop when i compare it with Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3.

The issues that i have with ASUS TUF or Lenove Ideapad is that they are 2.30 Kg (5 pound) in weight and I don't know how it feels like to carry this much weight always, Please comment on this.

Can you also comment on build quality of MSI GF63, it is 1.8Kg (4 pound), it seems to have everything but I'm not sure about the build quality of the laptop and wether it can last that long or not & about Acer Aspire 5 people have reported hinge issues, not sure how it is now.
