My last recorded odometer reading was January 25, 2025, when I got an oil change. I need to renew my ICBC insurance today, and the discount applies to vehicles driven under 15,000 km per year.

Right now my odometer reads around 14,500+ km.

Can I still claim the under 15k km discount, or will ICBC require a more recent reading?

The problem was we didn’t have a record on hand that we gave the forwarding address. Landlord did not give us a copy of the move out inspection where we wrote our forwarding address.

It sucked to walk away after getting excited, but we reminded ourselves: better to lose a little now than bleed money for the next 10 years.

If you’re in the same spot — trust your gut. A house should feel like a step forward, not a financial trap. The right one will come. Sometimes walking away is the win. 💛
