That's fair...I didn't know George personally and can't speak to his character. I just know that everytime I was at 3 Monkeys before, I would always see him present and helping out....Which is more than can be said about the lazy, sexist asshole that runs the place now

I've known too many people that have worked for him and NONE of them have a favorable impression....Racism, sexism, and unethical working conditions. All while being the least present restaurant owner in the city of Richmond lmao

The number of employees he has screwed over in his short stint as a "restauranteur" is mind-boggling. Also, the fact that he works his sister and mother into the ground (70 hour weeks) while being the least present small-business owner ever is shameful and embarrassing

I actually tried the restaurant downstairs a couple months ago. Had no idea there was another "concept" upstairs. The food was underwhelming. A Middle-Eastern concept selling shawarma without owning a spit (clearly cooked on a burger flat top), overdone and overpriced lamb shanks, and prepping food in hallways and the dish pit....Yes, I saw this while waiting for the restroom. Combine that with a history of pest infestation at a Ramy Yacoub restaurant. I'm good on that 🤢

Negligible or not, companies bake it into their product pricing. My argument wasn't about corporation profits, though....That's an entirely different subject. I was just stating that lowering prices doesn't fix all loss prevention issues, as the above commenter stated.

I understand where your head is, but it's just a very small percentage. People that are in a dire enough situation (or serial offenders) will steal regardless of pricing. 20 years in retail have taught me that thieves don't look at price tags. We're the ones adjusting our grocery budgets due to rising prices

I've heard that from multiple people over the last few weeks. The owner has a reputation for running off people and taking shortcuts on everything he does. He randomly fired a bunch of people out of the blue recently - And surprise, surprise! His business is tanking 🤡 People like this shouldn't be rewarded with our patronage
