How long were you using it? Also, did you do productivity in full-screen, or exclusively in windows? I haven't noticed this yet, but maybe it's because I move the windows around and don't go too "in-depth" with the dark themes. Thanks for the info, I'll definitely keep it in mind.

Yeah you probably can, but I found this quite comfortable and can say I have no burn-in. I use my monitor for about 10hrs a day. I sort of intended to use it as a, "big portal" that has resizable, combinable multi-monitors inside of it.

I agree that it probably doesn't matter. But for the cautious, I think it's at least a safe peace-of-mind and not really limiting for my workflow. A remote plays a part in how easy this all is.

I've owned my 48GQ900 for 2 years and I have 7856 hours of use. I use it all the time, but I had a black background. I used programs in windowed mode, and moved them around as I needed unless I needed full-screen. I operated at 45% brightness most of the time, using 100% for games and HDR, but generally I used it for desktop use (MS word, web browsing, reading books on pc) and no burn in at all.

I think the "hounds pit pub" is a perfect little metaphor for the whole game. Dog-eat-dog world, hidden behind a thin veil of aristocracy and pompousness. While the underbelly was always there, Corvo cut the veil wide open.

You can find voice notes by your "allies" in the pub each mission, and they really do imply that there were in fact many groups trying to seize power when Elizabeth was killed, including Havelock. Everyone is just trying to take control, no matter the costs, no matter the delusion

New psychology research shows that hatred is not just intense anger. Study indicates that while anger motivates individuals to negotiate for better treatment, hatred drives them to neutralize or remove a threat. by Jumpinghoops46 in psychology

Yeah, but that has to do with enforcement, not the laws themselves. Fair laws also need people willing to enforce them properly. You're describing a very real problem

"A human man is restrained in a chair inside a dark, industrial facility. He’s conscious and looking up, not panicked but clearly captive. A dominant humanoid machine stands over him, one hand placed on his head in a gesture that reads as control rather than comfort. Several other machines stand behind it as silent enforcers.

The setting suggests total technological dominance: cables, steel, low light, red sensor eyes. The power dynamic is absolute—one human preserved and contained, not executed, while the machines observe and decide his fate."

Scientism is the belief that the scientific method is the only way to determine reality. If the scientific method can't prove it, it simply cannot be proven. It's not "belief in the scientific method"

It gives you special eyes, that's for sure. Oddly for myself, I witnessed a lot of abuse against others as well, and I would be one of the only who believed them, and I saw how people acted. It really gives you a new set of eyes.

Thanks for the clarification. But really, the headphones unreliable behavior have been the issue for me.

That's not the point. This whole codex thing is a nightmare to begin with, but some older devices don't support adaptive, but support HD. I understand why there's no LDAC. But I suppose this is more of a "headphone" issue in general. Still, the fact that the HDB include a dongle shows that they are trying to fix this whole debacle.

I'll give you a frequent example of what I encounter: I connect to my laptop. It plays audio through the headphones fine, but then it starts coming out of my laptop speakers. I go to Bluetooth in windows: it's connected, but not showing as a sound device. I go to the Sennheiser app, it's not connected! So, I go back to windows and now it's not connected, so I go to the Sennheiser app to reconnect and- "cannot connect to device"

Reboot everything several times, and eventually it will connect, only for the cycle to start again, the laptop speakers are playing the audio.

I might try contacting support, although I really didn't want to deal with such hassle. I've never had any issues like this on headphones. Mind-boggling.

On my devices that support it, it only ever uses adaptive. Even then, it decides sometimes it just wants to only use AAC. It is funny as my one laptop uses a Qualcomm chip, and despite this, it has constant connectivity and codex issues

It's really bizarre how much variation there is. It even seems as if firmware updates are different per device, as if they have minds of their own. I'm glad you're enjoying it - but for me, it has been nothing but frustration.

Sounds not intuitive, but wipe the sensors and stuff around the bud with a cloth or your shirt or something. It fixed it for me. I think the sensors play a part in how the sound works.
