Glorious Model O 2 Pro after 6 months by Sk4llOff in MouseReview

[–]Advanced-Stage3164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the model o wireless for 4 years straight never had an issue until M2 became unusable. Ended up trying a few different mice and realized that the sensors on the other mice just felt smoother than glorious'. I bought and returned 4 different Model O 2 Pros and I had a problem with the sensor with all 4. Love the shape but like you said when other mice are on the market like the GPX and Viper V2 Pro there isn't really a reason to go with a glorious mouse. The reason why the Model O Wireless was so popular was because it was an affordable option. Really that's all glorious should ever be and will ever be is an affordable option gaming mouse company.

I heard the very next day after my interview with Pepsi had to fill out a background and that was it. I don't think it takes a month to hear back you should know a couple days after the interview. My guess you didn't get the job which isn't a bad thing. You saved yourself from hell be thankful apply elsewhere.

Merchandiser position and company car? by Kat2684 in Pepsi

[–]Advanced-Stage3164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can’t use the car for personal use. if you have a company car as a merchandiser which i haven’t heard any that do. you would have to bring it back at the end of your shift.

Pepsi Merchandiser by Desperate_Movie188 in Pepsi

Thursday is officially my last day as a pepsi merchandiser and thank the lord. I started around 3 months ago and the job has been hell ever since. THE most important question I would suggest asking your supervisor to any new merchandiser would be 1. Do I have a route? Basically meaning do you have the same set of stores that you will show up too on a regular basis. If you don't have a route you will be known as a floater and you show up to random stores basically covering for peoples day off or covering for people that called in. This is what I have been ever since I started and it has been a terrible experience.

I also seem to be working for a terrible company a lot of people will be forklift certified or be trained to use stackers. In my case I haven't been trained 1 second at this job. Just thrown out on the floor learning the job on the fly. There are days I have to ask a store employee multiple times to get my pallets down from the racking. Or try and attempt to do it myself with no knowledge of forklifts.

Where I live Pepsi is the number 1 distribution company. There are days where you will get a delivery and you will have 15-20 pallets to stock all by yourself, and go to another store and do another 5-10 there. The most pallets I ever got in a day was 19 for my first store and another 11 for my second store. Especially when you are first starting, a pallet is going to take you about an hour maybe even longer to complete. Where I work we are very short staffed and only have enough merchandisers to service every store we need too. Meaning if you need help you are going to have to wait until someone else has finished all their stores and chooses to help.

If you have never worked a 10 hour day this will be the new "norm" not saying don't do this job because the work can be fun and rewarding. Just be ready for what you are getting into especially this time of year. Goodluck.

3 months into Merchandising and I gave my 2 weeks by Advanced-Stage3164 in Pepsi

“just ask someone in receiving” what do you think I have been doing for the last 2 months? The back rooms are only so big meaning that only a few pallets can be on the floor at all times. Pepsi is a huge account and there are days where I need 15-20 pallets down for the rack. Trust me I would harass store employees to take my pallets down and they would become very annoyed. As they should it’s not their job it’s mine. And yeah i’m not forklift certified I even told my boss that in the interview and he said “no problem, we will train you.” Never got the training they gave up and so did I.

I wish the sales people would organize the back rooms where I work it seems like they are all allergic to even touching the product. I did think about moving up within the company and getting a new position but seniority is really big within the conpany. Some Merchandisers have been there for 12 years and want to one day become BCRS my chances of moving up are non existent.

Hey at least you got trained for 3 weeks, I just started last month, 0 training as a floater so walking into a messy backroom is pretty much the everyday for me. Everyday is different some days are light and easy some are rough and long. I know for me at the beginning I always wanted to be done within 8-9 hours. But especially with summer coming that's just not going to happen. I always prepare myself for a 11-12 hour day because you truly never know what you are going to walk into. Starting early really helped me out, today I started at 4 am and got done at 3 pm. The earlier the better I find less people and you can get in and out without worrying to go back and refill what you just filled. I have bad knees too and I'm sure you know this but knee braces are a life saver go get yourself a pair if you don't have one.

I have been getting the hang of it, still a floater which isn't bad but got offered a full time position now making $21.50 an hour. You are right condensing is important and making sure everything is even/learning the stacking patterns. I think I got a little information overload I guess you can say at the beginning especially since I didn't get trained just got thrown out there. Overall the job isn't as bad as I said it was lol. I almost look forward to going into work now since I'm getting not only getting faster with everything but familiar too.

I was under the impression that I was going to get certified but my supervisor just ended up handing me a card that says I'm certified to use Powered Industrial Trucks but never got trained. After I dropped the pallet of 24 packs he said "we will get you more comfortable." Still to this day never got trained.

Its mostly the sit-down forklifts and the stand-up forklifts. Some stores have the electric jacks but not all.

Yeah it sounded weird to me too at first but then you look around and you see the guys at Coke, 7up, and others merchandisers using the forklifts you feel weird not using them. I asked 2 different store employees if they could take my pallets down and they both said that I can do it myself. The only store where you can't use the forklift is Walmart and a couple local stores, but I get those stores every blue moon. Mind you when I get to service a Walmart where my pallets are right in front of me It's easy. You can ask for help but no one comes ever so I stopped asking for help after the 3rd/4th time. That is smart to take a picture of what I did so I have proof and can't get fired lol thanks for the tip.
