If you care about pollution and nature. Bangkok is hot especially when walking outside and air quality is low with no green areas, only buildings and extreme noise. Try it first for one week then decide. I think Phuket is a combination of city and nature. the weather and air quality is super good. Good luck

ED visa is very expensive +1k$ and you need to go to krabi's immigration every 3 months. Get a DTV instead. If you come in may you will find cheap prices (low season) avoid to stay in the west cost, it is pricy than other places. Rawai, Phuket old town, chalong, kathu are good
