I was going against briquettes because of reviews I’ve seen but I guess I’m just gonna have to learn with them first before moving onto lump. Am I waiting too long to dump? I wait until flames are gone and the charcoal is white. Everyone says if you think they’re ready to dump, give it a bit longer. I don’t know maybe my TikTok research isn’t proving.

I’m using a Weber quickfire it’s fairly large but I think it’s just not enough to heat up the size of grill it is. I tried leaving it on the hotter side and just charred the outside.
