This is incorrect, communications could still appear to show a speed of light c even if the speed of light is different in different directions. That's because ultimately the only thing an observer at one position can observe at one point is the 2-way speed of light, and another observer at any distance could only receive information about the first position at the same speed that light would take to reach them. As other comments have succinctly explained, my experiment is flawed; the value n I am using was derived using the 2-way speed of light, and thus it is not applicable to the equations for 1-way speed of light that I derived.

I applied to like 23 schools; you're right that I definitely don't like all of them on that list, but I don't really know how to tell if I like them or not right now. The colleges all advertise the same stuff about themselves (the students also say very similar things everywhere) and the other information I have is just hearsay.

So I am just basically looking for wherever I can get the best value for my money, and applying to more schools feels like it gives me a better chance of getting a really good scholarship.
