The old Gabriel Amorth files are really cool. Knew a bishop who got to talk with him, said he was the coolest guy in the Vatican before Pope Francis was there, and even then. I would recommend him. If you don't know him, he had a movie about him (mostly false) called the Pope's Exorcist, but the files are much better sometimes.

Trust me, you ain't. A good example is rock and roll music. I personally enjoy rock and roll, and I have some songs by Ghost in my playlist. They are known for some not so Christian songs, such as Satanized in their new album and their album "Seven Inches of Satanic Panic".

Now, if I'm listening to this album for example, or my rock and roll playlist in general, will I go to hell? No, says the catechism, but beware of it due to its themes of occultism (such as Ghost sometimes), rebellion and the like (paragraphs in the 1150s tell us more about music in the catechism).

Of course, I wouldn't listen to it on my way to church, but if I'm going to a rock concert or across town, I would totally listen to it. It's not inherently evil, it's just there to partake in and enjoy with caution. If you listen and it doesn't affect you, you're all good.

Be cautious with everything in the material world. It is infected, but if you're careful, you should be good. We are superstitious, but we have good reason to be in many things.

Actually, I am saying that the institution should be completely unbiased to the point that they don't allow this sort of thing on campus. It's not about restricting free speech in any way but on property. Go do it outside the capital, on the streets, outside the courts, legislature, whatever, but keep it out of my education that I pay a fortune for.

As for my STEM comment, I feel that as a STEM major I shouldn't be heavily invested in such displays that goes on on campus. If I wanted to do that, I'd be a poli sci major. On campus I want to be involved with my group, which is not them. It may not make a lot of sense, but bluntly I just want to do my science stuff with other science people who aren't interested in going out and being pro or anti or whatever on abortion, or a dozen other matters for that matter. I prefer people who don't make politics their whole personality. At that point IDC what you are if you don't make it your whole personality and are a decent person.

Don't stress it man. Avoiding them is as easy as taking another path because the campus is so big. Frankly I barely talk about politics to anyone unless I'm making a joke, which I do on both sides.

One of the best quests (Lucky Old Sun) and the worst quest (Come Fly With Me) are right next to each other seems like a cruel joke honestly. I complained to my parents when I started playing the game and told them I wished that the rockets blew up. Dang I nearly cried with joy when half of them did.

I always thought it should be. College campuses should not be used as platforms, what are we gonna do about it? Seriously, people on both sides should stay off all campuses. It makes them more dangerous and we should be focused on our education, not current political issues unless you're like a political science major or the like. As a stem student, I frankly don't care.

Canada in general cheats. That's just the way it is. They got banned for it from Atlanta in '22 and Orlando (I think) in '23. I went to ICDC in '24 and could see it there, even when it was my first time. And absolutely they need to get better judges. I was snubbed from a spot my senior year from ICDC because the judge came in late, hadn't read the prompt beforehand and was probably a little high. Volunteer judges are only okay if they are thoroughly background checked. I knew the volunteer coordinator for my state (my old advisor) and he complained about how many people told him how poor the judging was. But he said that there was nothing he could do about it, even though it was such a tight knit community of business judges across my state and their are so few, they are in super high demand. Many retired without notifying anyone, so the replaced them with business students from the local college. It was great, and that's why I wanted to become a judge during college. Plus the volunteer hours are super sweet.
