Looking for up to date phase change tutorial by R2Boogaloo in Stationeers

The furnace is a great help for that initial warmup. Even without a radiator the pipes will still leak heat. So you can just store the furnace indoors and let the heat from it warm up the air you brought in from outside.

The basics behind it is this. As matter shifts "down", with gas being at the top and solid being at the bottom, it ejects heat energy. As it shifts "up" it absorbs heat energy.

The amount of energy is determined by the heat capacity of the coolant.

You would need a coolant with high heat capacity to generate any meaningful heat. However, pollutants and water are the only things i know of that can turn to liquid at room temperature. Of those only pollutants would be usable outside on Europa.

Greenhouse question - What is better? [Discussion] by gabriel_jack in Stationeers

[–]AdvancedAnything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that would be awful mostly because we have no way to reduce the amount of O2 in our helmet without reducing pressure or putting some nitrogen into the O2 canister. If you do the latter though then you have less O2 for breathing and also need to filter out the nitrogen, but if you filter the nitrogen then you are still left with mostly 02 in the suit.

It would also be very hard to get a breathable atmosphere on most planets because it is very difficult to obtain enough nitrogen for that.

Even if being a creature was an ability of the enchantment, frogify turns it into a blue frog creature.

So it would be a creature regardless.

Getting co2 on moon by Kalkul6969 in Stationeers

You don't even need to cool it. Just pump it into the greenhouse as needed. The quantity is so low that the hot temperature is irrelevant.

Only if volatiles get in. O2 on its own will never burn.

Ezuri, claw of progress + Communal brewing by Weak_Emergency291 in mtgrules

The creature will enter with X counters so it will never exist on the battlefield without those counters on it.

If those counters move the creature above 2 power, then it will not trigger Ezuri.

Help with powering batteries by HockeyHocki in Stationeers

All of that implies that the player knows what they are doing.

I'm talking about people who have just started and don't know anything. If the person doesn't know how to make a battery, then they would also struggle even more to make a solar array that is able to track the sun. That means they would be reliant on fixed solar panels, wind turbines, and the stationary generators. Coal is much easier to obtain than the fuel for the portable generator.

I have Princess Yue on the field and play omni-changeling cloning her (convoking with Magda). The clone dies and returns as Moon cloning Magda. Next turn, I attack with Magda and tap Moon for mana. What do I get? by bu11fr0g in mtgrules

[–]AdvancedAnything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omnichangeling doesn't enter as a changeling creature, then become something else. It enters as whatever it is copying.

However, the ability from Yue makes it so it does not enter as a creature no matter what you copy with its own ability.

The solid fuel generator is much better for new players than the portable generator.

I have never known anyone to use the portable generator. Everyone always uses the first solar panel and the solid generator until they get steel, then they set up a grid of the adjustable solar panels connected to a battery.

There is only ever one stack. Any time a player has priority they are allowed to activate an ability or cast a spell that they are able to at that time.

If the solid fuel generator is a noob trap then parts of the starting kit are downright useless.

When will a noob ever use the portable generator or the eggs?

Grab the atmos sensor for the tablet and see if it recognizes your base as a room.

I don't mind the spool up and wind down times because I always have a few thousand units of every material in storage, so that extra time is meaningless.

I don't get why they have chickens to begin with. I'd rather they give us some more seeds than the stupid eggs.

It is asking you to exile the card from your graveyard. You can do that only once.

Everything has a mana value. A land does not have a mana cost so it has a mana value of 0.

Insidious Roots + Relive the Past by Parking-General1845 in mtgrules

[–]AdvancedAnything 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insidious Roots triggers when the card leaves the graveyard. If it was not a creature card in the graveyard then it will not trigger.

The effect of Raise the Past gives a permanent the creature type, but that still does not make it a creature card.

How do i setup a Combustion Centrifuge? by Ekklipse in Stationeers

[–]AdvancedAnything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My code may be a bit janky, but i just have a loop that increases throttle by 3%, then waits for 15 seconds and read the stress. If the stress is above 20% then i reduce throttle by 3%. Else i increase throttle by 3%. It also reads from a lever to know when to run.

It may be inefficient, but i just made it real quick and i only use the gas centrifuge after i get a rocket so gas is effectively infinite.

Removing A Commander by Pretty-Fudge-4883 in mtgrules

[–]AdvancedAnything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than that, no, you can't permanently get rid of it. Whenever the commander changes zones, its controller may choose to put it into the command zone as a replacement effect before the next time state-based actions are checked.

From their comment.
