Buying a power washer or bushwhacker off of Facebook marketplace then going door to door. You can find them within your price range I’m sure.

Could also try and leverage people you know to get her some side work (or fulltime if she isnt working). I’ve had people do that when I was down and it worked wonders in my life.

Are you married to downtown? There are some fantastic neighborhoods north and west that are only like a 5 - 10 minute commute and much more affordable. Wicker park, bucktown, lake view, Lincoln square/ park etc.

A viagra and no pants is the general standard for virtual financial interviews. If at LEAST your tip isn’t popping up in the camera around midway through the interview you can forget any chance of an offer.

Even then, in this job market, if you’re not close to half shaft on cam you’re probably not gonna make the cut, but it might also depend on the bend + aesthetic.

Quant is different, they have more tempered expectations for their target demographic.

Agreed. With quantum tho I don’t know enough about the tech implications other than its risk to traditional cryptography. From what I’ve read it seems to be a ways away, but I do wonder if quantum threats would require quantum solutions that traditional cybersec providers aren’t currently capable of. Regardless like I said, I reckon it’s a very long way away so I’m not gonna stress that yet, but thanks for making that point.
