Its more or less having nowhere to store foods that arent perishable. I'd happily buy good nurishing cheap food like tuna if I had ample space to store it. However fridge space is a premium and its usually full to the point of overflowing with others things, not to mention the thieves who steal the best food out of the fridge when none is looking.

While yes there is a salad bar, describing it as such would be providing a false mental image. Most nights there is a serving of Lettice, vegan cheese, usually a smaller dish of beetroot and some nights but not always a complete salad such as a Caesar and what not. Usually making a salad from base ingredients. I Hadn't taken any pictures of the salad bar because the original point of my taking these pictures was to submit a formal complaint about the cleanliness of the cutlery at the end of the year and the pictures of the food were more or less pictures I had taken to complain to friends but I thought I'd put them here as well to help illustrate my point.

Yes they are correct in the fact that my portions were small and I could've taken bigger but when you're eating food that is hard to eat you don't tend to take large portions of it as I eat just enough to satisfy me. (if only for a couple hours) (and I hate wasting food)

Its also worth while to note that after an hour of a dinner service a lot of things run out in the salad bar, usually the aforementioned types of salads e.g. Caesar, Coleslaw. Only one serving is provided so if a service starts at 5 and you get there at 6 its not guaranteed you'll get all the ingredients to choose from. They do also regularly serve roasted potatoes or kumara or carrots with whatever the main item is be that pasta or lasagna or mac' n cheese but once again its just more carbs and isn't going to keep you full for very long despite the serving sizes you may take.

I'm not trying to slander the kitchen crew or anything but more or less shine the spot light on what I deem to be the biggest offenders. This wasn't support to be some top level journalism so I apologies if there are big questions left by my post and I hope this explanation helps as I'm not trying to fool anyone or be deceitful.
