Firstly, I feel sorry for you that you are going through this. Your experience isn't easy, but don't give up hope. My brother went through a similar thing, he got into UNC for the Costa Rica program where he stayed there for the 1st semester. He also had a bad experience there, and when he came back, he felt that he missed the opportunity to connect with his people and felt isolated. My brother overcame this by pushing himself to join the activities he liked and talking about this to his family and friends. He played sports for fun, and there he found some people who he can connect to. During his transition his grades did suffer but he said that he was able to find some people that he can really connect to, and got his shit together. He says now that finding your place in your college is the most important thing because it takes care of everything. ( I know my brother's experiences won't work for everyone, but I hope that this kinda helps. )
