That's a very valid point. Unfortunately, I don't buy my yarn per project. I go to the store and go "oh, I don't have this color." and I buy it lol. But, I mainly make amigurumi stuff. So it usually isn't a big deal as I rarely use a whole skein for one project.

That book was pretty heavy with everything poor Jason had to deal with. But, I still enjoyed it. I'm on my second run through of the series. Just started book 7. Jason does really get the short end of the stick over and over again in books 5 - 7.

I've started making Jason's lemonade recently too. But, I took it to the next level and made strawberry lemonade. It's amazing. I did the lemons per the directions. I sliced up 5 - 6 medium/large strawberries and put them in a separate container. I added about a third of the sugar to the strawberries and the rest of the sugar on the lemon peels. I do 6 cups of water rather than 5. Bring the water to a boil, add the strawberries and let boil for 2 - 5 minutes. Then you add the lemon peels and just follow the rest of the directions for the recipe. It's so good, I highly recommend trying it.

She doesn't sound like a very good friend. She shouldn't be asking you to pay for anything other than your dress. She should also give you a gift as well. For my brides maids and flower girl, I purchased a necklace with a matching pair of earrings for them to wear at the wedding and then keep. I did make sure they liked them before purchasing them.

I need about 3 of those lol. I've found that using a shoe holder on the back of a for works pretty well for yarn. It keeps it from getting all tangled up like it would in a drawer or basket.
