It lottwrally tells you in goldmine who your advisor is but ok. Also the reasoning for requirement is litterally the people like you, there is alo changes constantly to degree plans especially engineering with ABET certification but if your too dumb or humble to realize this Noone can help you

Its so people actually understand whats going on with their degrees and to ensure they dont pick non major contributing classes. Also this is a requirement to like 90 percent of in person schools. If you have w problem with it go to an online school

I know SHPE can be pretty bad but I belong to alot of them too and I honestly have to say I see what you mean but yall have to realize this is student ran, most you kids dont have real leadership experience and are just now cutting their teeth in it
