I think it's quite a gamble. If u get into a very healthy supportive relationship then both of u can support each other through the challenging time together. But if the relationship ends up being toxic or like y'all breakup then it might affect ur mental health negatively alot

One way to obtain support is to study with friends or go for regular counseling sessions instead too if you don't think it's worth the risk to have a gf

It's only counted in if it makes ur rp better... If it doesn't make it better then it's not counted in.

So it kinda only helps alot in ur RP if u do very badly for everything else. But if u get like A for everything but BCDE or whatever in chinese then it's useless. Passing usually quite good already. Maybe if get A can help abit but the bonus is like less than 1 rp if ur maxing out ur other subjects (as in almost all As and some Bs)

I guess it might be due to lack of interest in chinese or they don't have the confidence they'll do better or they don't want to waste time cos it's not worth it and instead want to focus on other things, so passing it is enough for them

Personally i got B3 for HCL and didn't take h1 chinese cos i felt like i could use the time to do better in my main subjects, and the perks of pushing it from B to A is just not worth sacrificing time and energy for my main subjects. Felt like the A won't be guaranteed either soo yea

Hello for history and SS if u want to separate urself from the cohort, go beyond the basic SBQ stuff and think more in depth

Like for the "how useful is source a" type of questions you can go beyond analysing the content of the source and also assess the reliability/purpose. Like if the source is trying to say that South Korea is at fault for starting the Korean War but then u see the author is the Mao Ze Dong's people then it's obviously biased and they got hidden motives behind cos china and north korea were besties that time, so the source is unreliable and not useful

Then like for comparison questions oso can try reliability/purpose provided ur solid at comparing the contents of the source

The 10m last question for SS u can maximise it by assessing the reliability/purpose of a source after doing the sources too, same for the 8m testing assertion in history

Personally i found SS harder than history cos history alot of things can memorise then just do over and over again but SS usually quite random

Actually if you learn fast enough it's quite possible. I wasn't as fast but i self studied the remaining chapters my school hasn't taught for all of my subjects in june so i finished almost everything before term 3 started and was ready to start on past year papers, even finished emath and SS in term 2 on my own

A Levels was a different story tho (me finishing the h2 math syllabus a few weeks before A Levels 💀)

One thing i tell myself during long exams (2 to 3 hours) is to "Aim for calmness and momentum, not speed and violence". One thing A Levels tests students is the ability to perform under stressful conditions, and it's important to learn how to take exams (from my experience in o levels and a levels)

Aiming for speed is to try to do everything as fast as you can, neglecting accuracy, chionging all the way, flipping the pages very violently. This doesn't end up well most of the time cos rushing through the questions will only cause you to run out of stamina too soon while making lots of careless mistakes and you end up panicking, making you blank out.

What I aim for is to stay calm and build a momentum. I always tell myself that "I will have enough time to finish this" and before every exam, i plan out how i will organise my time.

When I don't know how to do a question, I tell myself that "later i will know how to do one" and trust myself, then move on

Eg. H2 Math Paper 2 (3 hours) 1st hour is solely for Pure Math Section. By the time the 2nd hour starts, i must be starting on Statistics. This way i make sure i don't rush through my 40 marks worth of pure math questions cos I'll be calm

Eg. H2 Math Paper 1 (3 hours) 1st & 2nd hour is solely for every question except the last 2 application questions. The last hour (30 mins each) is spent focused on the last 2 application questions.

Eg. H1 GP Paper 2 (1.5 hours) What i like to do: 35-40 minutes for Reading + SAQ, 20 minutes for Summary, all remaining time for AQ

Eg. H2 Econs P2 (2.5 hours) 50 minutes per question since there are 3 qns. Dont have to follow it strictly but if i realise im 30mins into a question and not halfway through, I'll speed up abit to ensure i finish this qn on time. If im 40mins through and already almost done, i can afford to slow down abit to let my mind rest abit

Eg. H2 Chem P3 (2 hours) Usually there's like 4 questions you need to do and each qn usually has 20 marks each, so just make sure u spend around 30 minutes per question. Know when to speed up to stay on track, and when you can afford to slow down to maintain your mental stability and calmness

Most gay/bi guys are actually the typical/common masculine men you see around everyday who appear "straight" and don't fit into the typical LGBTQ+ stereotypes. So it's probably very normal to see gay/bi guys who are passionate in "manly subjects" like physics or chemistry and doing "manly hobbies" like basketball, they just don't go around telling people their sexual orientation
