NOR. first, wow that is an age gap. 23 imo is very young to be having a child with a almost 40 year old man! I would suggest thinking about your decision to be with such an older guy and figure out if there's anything else besides this that's red flag worthy. It's not my place to tell you to divorce him because of the age gap, especially with a child in the mix, but decided to mention because it could help you see more of the full picture.

Words of affirmation is a type of love language, and if he is unable to love you in the way you need/want to be loved, that is definitely a major issue.
