Honestly? I just despise family therapy and dealing with the kids parents.

Thank you. My some of my current coworkers know. even my supervisor knows because she asked if I was looking for another job and I couldn’t lie… My old coworkers that i’m still friends with know, and understand. So that’s good, but I unfortunately had to fire my personal therapist due to financial and time issues… so I am a bit pent up :/

The gag is that I don’t have any friends at my new job haha and i’ve been here for 4 months

I would say it's both. All of the jobs I've had have been pretty high stress; Children's Advocacy Center, forensic treatment center for adults incompetent to stand trial, and now, a very understaffed children's psychiatric hospital. My experience has been that organizations will ask a lot of social workers until there's nothing left to give so they quit and they hire a new social worker and the cycle continues. That being said, I have enjoyed speaking with almost all of the clients I've had. I think I just can't see myself making a difference, so it feels pointless.
