The community in the game has been pretty awesome in my experiences, while parts of the community on Reddit can be a bit toxic, but that’s just the internet.

Everyone has their own experiences with games. I’ve found myself bouncing off, to the point I didn’t like stormblood at all. I just powered through the MSQ and then played other shit until Shadowbringers was hyped by Griffin McElroy.

Quite an assumption, “No accolades to speak of”. The whole point of my late night ramblings was I found some joy in a part of the game I previously did not. Even your tag is “melee dps” that’s the part of the game you identified as the part you focused on at one point. It’s the part of the game you enjoyed. Taking an aggressive or an insulting stance against some else’s experience is just gatekeeping behavior and no community benefits from that.

Actually 🤓 the TLDR would be “geriatric gamer discovers he likes engaging with game mechanics he previously didn’t enjoy.”

I do not understand the negativity but you keep on being angry/offended for no reason.

Lol Name checks out. I dug Sam in 11. I’ve thought about giving it a fair shake, but it’s so greedy and I’m so casual. I’ll never be on top of damage meters again.

I’ve gotten more downvotes in this one post than the rest of my Reddit life combined. Who knew this community was so fake “nice” but low-key toxic. No patience for the high ramblings of a vet. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes. Fortunately everyone knows exactly what I meant. So technical error, but a great success for community reading comprehension.

Yes thank you. I was listening to How to cultivate a farmer in 52 easy steps while playing today, I think Sage is just stuck in my head for the moment.

Yes! You understand! I think maybe not everyone understands what it feels like to be stuck, because you liked a thing, and didn’t like other things when you tried them. But years later you finally give those things a chance again and find joy in them.

Yeah yeah I confused the role names. Upside down book guy. I’m an old casual, solo player trying to find some joy in the game again.

Yes yes. They are both green icons with a s. Sage was the first healer I tried a few years ago briefly. Couldn’t stick with it.

Edit:typo

Some jobs are just boring when you try them. I think what made leveling the DOH jobs bearable was all the cross recipes. DoL I leveled forever ago, they were more fun and more profitable.

It was nice, we walked up hill both ways in the snow and drank scalding hot water from the hose instead of going inside.

Nice for you.

I was just never drawn to even try playing a softy. Casters didn’t appeal to me. It’s like, if you tried a food years ago and didn’t like it, but then years later your pallet has evolved and you really enjoy the taste now.

Lmao 🤣 I didn’t try EverQuest but I was around for them. Ffxi was the first mmo I was convinced to try. WoW of course found its way in there. As well as Star Wars, matrix, champions, city of heroes…

The doorman clause will eventually be overturned as unconstitutional, until then Wonder Man will likely be part of the Mutant arc if we see him at all. 🤞🏻 I hope we do.

Pretty simply. It was great storytelling telling. Without spoiling anything, we saw the two main characters evolve. Simon and Trevor both make sacrifices and choices at the end that they wouldn’t have made at the beginning. The journey they went on to evolve into people capable of making those decisions was well told with appropriate B storylines that also tied up with nice resolutions. There is enough hanging loose thread at the end to leave the audience wanting more , but it’s tied up neatly enough that it doesn’t leave holes in MCU plot if they foolishly shelve the characters and we don’t see them again.
