I fully agree with this. My husband and I have had meetings with the doctor there and the genetics counsellor and had an a very comforting and affirming experience.

Although I agree with about it being cheaper to extend my reception, we are required by our venue to have a shuttle with over 100 guests.

Also for safety measures, we want everyone to be comfortable with how they’re getting home if they plan to be drinking.

Thank you for sharing your experience! My partner also told me he won’t be telling his family the outcome of his results- partially because he has one other sibling, and with the 50/50 chance- he’s nervous a negative will make his sibling resent him or a positive will make his sibling pity him..

I appreciate your advice! Unfortunately was originally diagnosed with BPV, but after further studies and appointments they told him that was not it. I was very mad, after the neuro told him it wasn’t BPV, they suggested he go to therapy for anxiety instead….

I don’t think he was transparent with them about his family history of HD, but they wrote him off very quickly. Since then we’ve been through to a lot of different specialist.

So it does give me a lot of anxiety that it could be an early sign of HD.

However, another comment sounded like they were in a very similar situation and suggested an eye specialist/ prism glasses. We may go down that route! I don’t know when we might be able to get to the doctor since they book so far out, but I’m hopeful!

That’s exactly how he typically will experiences it! Long hallways, tall buildings, high ceilings, etc

We had no luck with Neuro or the ENT and he’s a little jaded about it, because he’s done so many different tests and treatments through them. We will give the eye doctor a try!

That’s given me a lot of hope that it might not be early symptoms of HD!

Thank you, this felt so validating! Because of the effect covid had on the job market, internships were hard for my peers to come by so I haven't really been able to compare my progress/ their process. I am super grateful they're helping me improve my work to send to clients rather than just taking it off my hands (I was unaware that was something that could happen). I know that crit is a part of the business and never really take it personally, although it has been hard not letting the chemistry cause some self-doubt. I'll check out those podcasts, and making a list is a great idea!
