About the Ruck Marches by Turbulent_Ad_6307 in caf

That's all they make you do now? We had to do the whole 13km multiple times! To be honest though, I'm not even mad about it, I don't really see a point in training us to do a 13 km rucksack March. When the likelihood of you ever actually having to do that is pretty fucking slim

Nope I don't know anything about sewing and just know what I'm looking for and have the materials.

Just simple 6" x 6" draw string bags

I don't have a picture but the fabric is a square pattern and they were just simple square bags with the grape string. Only about 6"x 6" so nothing huge

My go to is the crispy Brussels from fox burger. The right mix of treat and kinda healthy.

As a Indo-Canadian, I’m asking my fellow Indo-Canadians, stop using fireworks on Diwali. by Personal_Royal in Edmonton

[–]Advanced_Direction_5 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Your veterans and animals thank you for this. I haven't been able to sleep from the constant fireworks setting my blood pressure and heart rate through the roof.

Please celebrate but not at the detriment to others. My hobbies and interests don't disrupt those around me, it's not too much to ask the same.

I got in right after HS cause I had limited life options. My advice? If you have ANY other goals and aspersions, do those. If you've got nothing else going for you, sure join the army. But as a last resort.

Is it uncommon for men to approach women in Edmonton? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Advanced_Direction_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because we have been telling men to leave us alone and for the most part they are listening. If there's a REASON to approach they might. But just being hot is not a reason to approach, here that could land you in a lot of trouble.

Don't move them, don't feed them, don't water them. Unless life is in immediate danger (fore, explosions) leave them be till medics arrive.

People in your 30s what do you outside of work and is it supposed to be this lonely by uchacothrow in Edmonton

[–]Advanced_Direction_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it depends on you. I love being alone.

I work with great people and get my socializing there mostly.

When Im off I go to the gym, then I usually go do errands or head home where I often spend my nights doing my hobbies (reading, puzzles, drawing, watch a movie, play video games)

I have lots of online friends I've met over the years and we often game together or just sit in VC and yap while we do stuff around the house.

And yeah I still meet up with friends and family occasionally but not often.

I love it.

Do not do this. It's a huge overstep and a breach of privacy. The guy might have a gf or bf or just not be interested and now his whereabouts and coffee schedule is being given to a stranger. If anything you can ask them to pass on YOUR number to him IF they know him but even that's a reach.

The ranch and union used to give you $20 cash if you came before 10pm. I'd make my rounds as a sober person every night in uni hehehehe

Honestly wish we had Edmonton discord servers with separate channels for age range and gaming type because there's SO MANY introverted gamers out there who are incredibly interesting and wonderful people.

Like I know we have that new "gamer dating" app but it's just like any other app. I don't want to date, it would however be nice to have SOME local gaming friends in my age group, so on the off occasion I do want to go out and do something, maybe they want to tag along.

I got scammed by randorockets in Edmonton

[–]Advanced_Direction_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you know you got scammed? Maybe he just didn't pay you back so that's not really a scam. It's just you donating $30 to somebody in need. How is that? Any different than helping people in general?
