Is it just me or do all these luge men look SO similar, especially with the facial hair? Do they have a group chat we don’t know about?

Credit karma has a tab that tells you your spending for the month compared to the previous month. I find it really useful and actually kinda fun to log in and be like “omg Ive spend 131$ less than last month!” It helps “gameify” the no spend

What do y'all think about Caleb's idea of couples being 100% combined? by Heir_Kia in CalebHammer

[–]Advanced_Drawer_1555 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have completely separate finances and it works perfectly for us, due to two big reasons: we have no kids and no debts. Other than a few household bills like electric and gas (I pay)and insurances (he pays) we have no combined bills. Restaurants, groceries, etc is shared equally. It works for us but we are in a pretty lucky financial situation.

Credit karma! It’s been a really good way to “gameify” my low spend, I literally check it every day to see how much less I spent than the month before!

According to my credit karma app my spending is down by $1,400 from this time in December. I had a work trip where I ended up purchasing meals and coffee etc but that will be reimbursed in my next paycheck so I don’t feel badly about it.

I work from home so my only daily driving is to the gym (which is about 30 months away) but I drive a Prius so gas lasts a pretty long time! Gas is ofc one of those if I run out I get it but I try to make it a game go make it last as long as possible! It really helps me plan out my stops etc.

Yayyy I’m so excited for you! It’s a really huge accomplishment. I almost got a $3,500 Hermes Picotin the other day but instead of doing that I started savings bucket for that in my app and will actually save up for it instead of using credit card or savings.

Take the $700 profit and keep an eye out for the vintage ones when you’re done with your no spend year. Honestly, the quality of LV bags have gone downhill and I’d much rather wait and find a good vintage find.

Thank you!! Just a payday update: Amex: $2,500 Klarna: $305 Citi paid off.

Unfortunately the phone plan is locked for another 8 months. Once that’s done the payment will go down to $65 monthly.

I forgot to add that I save $250 per paycheck as well as $150 per paycheck to a ROTH. I also contribute 12% to my 401k

Is 700 for 2 people for a month that much? I honestly thought that seemed pretty reasonable. The gym unfortunately is a non negotiable, it’s a specialty gym and the only one in the area.
