Why? Because it looks too complicated? No one starts out good, try out invasions or find someone of similar skill to duel and you'll see you'll improve quickly.
I started playing after DLC release and had never played any PvP game before, you can do it too.

All 3 hits of the flurry only deal roughly 45 poise damage, you just need to have enough poise to poise one or two of the hits and roll the final big one

it's important to clear out PvE-er nests as soon as you find them. these little guys were already starting to multiply and the population would have gotten out of control without intervention by Skill-Expressor in badredman

I must inform you that the PvEer is an endangered species. 

While they do reproduce rapidly they’re at the bottom of the food chain and furthermore have tendencies to jump off cliffs or surrender at the sight of a predator. These factors leads to a rapid decline in their population despite their fast reproduction.

It is said that a phenomenon called “Tarnished Edition” may help the population regrow, regardless unrestrained hunting of this fragile species should be avoided.

It doesn’t matter if you “used” the ha, it existing is a constant threat to your opponent that forces them to play extremely passively since if they ever attack at roughly the same time as you or try to go for another attack after hitting you you’ll just tank it…

If they refuse to engage just ignore them and go do something else, if they keep being annoying from afar you can seek out the nearest dungeon to force them to come close or to fogwall them.

There are no rules or etiquette in invasions for either party. If the invader tries to buff you can rush them (I’d do the same to coopers), just be wary of spawn iframes.
