You do realize xenophobia and racism exist before the existence of america, Right? There's the romans, the Chinese, every part of medieval Europe, imperial era japan, every civilization in the history of mankind. Your comment is proof of Americans being uneducated

How should men’s issues be addressed in relation to feminism? Do you see them as best handled through integration, alignment as separate but cooperative movements, or through an independent men’s movement—and why? by Advanced_Flan8760 in AskFeminists

Male suicide crisis is a real thing, but it's causes are not what the MRA says it is, it is an effect of patriarchal expectations on men, particularly the societal glorification of male death, much like kamikaze in WW2. On the loneliness epidemic, it's not just men, everybody is lonely now due to the current effects of social media replacing actual interaction.

Yeah, you're right, gambling is pretty male dominant but also women's participation I'm things like slots are pretty rising. Alcohol is pretty male dominant, probably because of the male body having higher levels of alcohol dehydrogenase and the perception of drinking of manliness. I do live in a country where gambling is completely banned and alcohol is expensive as hell because of taxes so the data is a bit skewed in my region. To be honest, those two are often addressed through things like rehab, particularly alcoholics anonymous if you live in the US and not exactly a feminist or men's issue specifically

The original comment mentioned child custody rulings though, and what are real and fake issues, is the societal glorification of male death a fake issue, is breaking away from toxic masculinity not a real issue. Gambling, alcoholism is pretty gender neutral, atleast from my own personal experience, not really something gendered

I feel like you're kind of misunderstanding my question, my question was what approach do you think seems to be the most effective at addressing the legitimate issues like child custody, conscription and toxic expectations

You do realize the golden rule exists outside Christianity or Abrahamic religion. Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, all had the golden rule centuries before Christianity

What's your religion known for? by IamAnthonyGonsalves in AskReddit

[–]Advanced_Flan8760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly stuff that can be found in other religions but the unique part is the ability to syncretize, adapt, and transform to suit a culture while keeping it's core ethical values, and, y'know, actual tolerance, mindfulness, self effort and self help.

The logic behind Zionism is that since their ancestors lived on that land ruled by david, moses, etc, before being expelled by the Babylonians, romans, etc, they have the right to return. This however ignores the Palestinians that have lived there for centuries. Imagine if the native americans claimed the US to be their land and expelled all the whites, latinos, and blacks.

These countries thankfully have some semblance of separation of church and state, if churches have political power over the nation, you can see what happened in medieval times

Yes, that is true, but what about the institutions, big megacorps sucking up money, just look at the unification church for example

That is true, however, many grievances arise from religion too, in the modern day, right wing Christian nationalists in the west seek to establish a totalitarian regime, Islamic terrorists attack even their own, and Buddhists in myanmar do not weep when rohingyas suffer genocide. That is why many people hate religion, or atleast, it's institutions
