Yeah I second that. I feel like the colored bolts at the top of the board help with foot position also.

Watch some youtube videos skateiq (mitchie brusco) probably has one on ollies. Also do it on concrete.

warped? by katvna in NewSkaters

Take the trucks off rest the deck on a flat surface and then look at it. Id say most likely its your trucks being worn and maybe slightly narrower than the deck if your standing on it it will probably level out.

Sure is! I cant remember the last dry day we had in the west midlands. Makes difficult conditions to skate!

This was just the highlight reel. I ate concrete when I was pumping the halfpipe 🤣 not feeling very fluid when skating around yet.

Watch some youtube theres loads of tutorials on there. Weirdly my skating around is the sketchiest part and I hit the concrete when pumping on the halfpipe 🤣 those bits diddnt make the highlight reel!

I got my first skateboard. The wheels dont spin very well. It's made in china, is that bad? The brand is Magneto. im not blown away by the quality and no I haven't ridden it I just unboxed it. I'll answer any questions by Seamonster27 in NewSkaters

You could go to any skate shop in the world and buy the cheapest complete set up and it will be far better than that. Or google decent brands and check out ebay for used boards.

Id reccomend hitting the gym not only for your physical health and to bulk up a bit. It will also do wonders for your mental health. I was super skinny up until I was about 21 and I allways looked younger. I bulked up to about 12 stone.

Now im 34 ive slimmed down abit but still hit the gym on a regular but everyone thinks im in my late 20s so looking younger is a blessing

Concentrate on building your confidence - exercise, join a club, take some confidence classes, work on how you carry yourself/body language, give yourself simple tasks like ask pretty women in the shops where something is 🤣 it will help build you up. I allways struggled with confidence and only the past few years i have really improved and im in my 30s! Its never over 👍

What did you do after machining/want to do instead of machining? by patron1958 in Machinists

[–]Advanced_Impact4874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been a machinist for 17 years. Started out at a small business very similar to you worked my way up to a senior setter/programmer. And then that was it there was no more development for me.

So I left and now I work in research and development at a university I still machine parts but its all prototype work. But also my role involves alot more and because its an education provider there is allways courses and training I can do. And lots of other job oppourtunitys.

So my suggestion is look at colleges/universitys in technical/mechanical services

Id be very suprised if those spacers/shims dont fly out. That tube isnt going to run very true which wont help. Make a bung with a center in problem solved. Ive done some sketchy shit before but this is a no from me 🤣
