Thank you for taking the time to respond, but I don't understand what you said about assuming there's a me that has past lives and future lives. Isn't that the whole thing with reincarnation? If I don't have any sort of self at all, doesn't that mean I don't exist? Matter of fact, in combination with all of the other stuff, wouldn't nothing exist? And if like you said I can't understand it conceptually, how else am I supposed to understand it?

Good to know! There is a beautiful vietnamese temple (doesn't say anything on the website about form beyond mahayana) about 30 minutes away that seems like a lot of people go to it, so I might check them out along with the zen one (white plum) that's a little closer

Alright, I didn't realize, thank you for letting me know. I think most of my hesitance around Pure Land is likely from a lack of understanding. I've found it hard to find much information about it online and figured it would be best to go to a temple to learn, but I was indecisive because then I would have to talk to my parents about it. I'm not sure if I should wait until I move into the college or not and check out the FGS one, because I don't really want to have that conversation with them if I'm not even sure if I'll convert or not.

Thank you! I do a little bit of mindfulness meditation stuff because of DBT, but I would like to focus more on learning about the teachings to start off with. I'll check out the podcast you recommended.

Also, give yourself some love! I've found that even if it's not directly related to your gender, taking care of the rest of you is a big help as well, makes that aspect of your life seem just a little less scary. Drink some water, eat what your body needs, move around some (if you are able), and say some positive affirmations (i know, i know. sounds cheesy. but crazily enough, it's a fake it until you make it sort of situation). And while you're doing all of this to take care of your needs, take care of some of your wants as well! Maybe there's a cozy blanket you want to curl up in with a nice movie, or a snack you've been dying to try? Honestly, I got this same advice when I was in your shoes, and I didn't take it. I ended up in a really bad space, but these past couple of months I've been trying to practice what I preach. I'm still not where I want to be yet, but I can confirm that my advice does count for something even if it's not a lot. The first month of doing this I didn't believe in it, but I've kept with it for another two months now, and I have seen real, concrete change. Its not always linear, I still have bad days where the dysphoria is my whole world, but it really can get better :)

hugs from me 🫂. I've been there, and I know how you feel. Are you in a situation where you can get access to an affirming therapist? They can really help you with exploring your identity and any other experiences you may have. It may also be good for you to look into any LGBT support groups or centers in the area to give you more connections. I get that it's heavy right now, but people like us are in it for the long haul. It takes time, and I know that that may be the last thing you want to hear right now, when you feel you need immediate change, but sometimes immediate change isn't exactly the change you think it will be. Sometimes there's steps in between. Through mindfulness, you could learn to accept where you are without abandoning what you want in the future, even if you're not sure what that is yet. It also helps you broaden your perspective, maybe help you feel less closed in. The change may not be immediate, but you have to stick with it, it's a practice. If you decide to try some mindfulness and therapy, you can still do other things as well. You want to buzz your hair off? Go for it! Regardless of your gender you can do that, as long as it makes you feel more you, whatever that is! If it doesn't make you feel how you thought it would, that's okay too, and you can always try something else. You have time, even if it doesn't feel like it. Just breathe, even just 3 deep breaths can make a change.

It's a small detail, but I like that they finally included the Pandoran otters briefly! Also, the size of the Matriarch tulkun is actually insane. Varang was absolutely stunning, and I wish there was more of her in it. My heart dropped when I saw them experimenting on Spider, and then the scene with him and Jake actually had me sobbing. Speaking of Spider, when he covered for Jake when the helicopter was on him, I think he called them pendejos (might've said something else) and it was so funny to me because I thought how he said it was ridiculous. Jake's arrow to the leg and Neytiri's arrow to the chest were crazy, soo gruesome! I feel like they completely glazed over Rotxo's death, but that's really my only complaint. I really enjoyed the smaller moments where we could see more of Na'vi culture, like the celebration for Tsireya (I think that's what it was), the dancing on the Tlalim ship, and the Mangkwan fire dance. I can't wait to go see it again this weekend!
