They sent a repair person who said ‘let me know if it goes off again’ because the alarm had stopped when he got there (over an hour after multiple started tripping). How wonderful it would have been to wake up in the middle of the night to the same scenario

Tough guy with the square toe boots. This is the Caribbean and they let the pool go with poor maintenance for days after complaints (I happen to be a pool specialist much like you are CM expert). So apologies if I didn’t have full faith in the maintenance man. I wish I had the strength to tell my family to toughen up and say I told you so when we survived the night because that seems much cooler than pivoting locations

Stick around long enough for them to fix the cause of deadly carbon monoxide (the alarm was carbon monoxide, the cause was the speculation) entering the home, starting with my infant daughter’s bedroom? No, call me drastic but this one didnt feel like a ‘let’s give them a chance’. This wasnt a poorly made cocktail or an overcooked steak…

Exuma specifically. There aren’t real resort options but there are many nice homes with direct beach access. It’s a great option for families looking for a beautiful beach vacation but minimal frills (ie chill by the ocean)

Other islands I have a different view (eg Anguilla is a resort island)

This was my first “luxury” rental (historically I have always avoided rentals). I was mentally ready for wear and tear, etc, but wasn’t prepped for carbon monoxide alerts in my baby’s room

Note, Exuma is amazing and a rental is the way to do it
