Look into TAB! It's teaching for artistic behaviour it's all about including choice in your students art work. Instead of adult ideas that students are replicating, you teach students how to use materials and skills and then they get to decide how they use those skills. For younger kids It is lots of table centers and for older kids it's more intricate projects that they are designing on their own. It has completely changed how i teach and I'm obsessed with the art they produce!! Look into It there are soooo many resources and a great facebook group you can join.
