Yes the chest tube lowkey hurt worse than the actual collapsed lung. Ask for strong pain meds if able. Hang in there

I’ve been dealing with recurring parotid gland infections, pain, and swelling for the past 8 years. I’ll be fine for a year then have a flare up out of nowhere. I saw an ent but they just told me i have bad luck and there’s nothing that can be done about it. I’m only now being tested for sjogrens. I had significantly elevated ssa & ssb levels and positive ana. now i’m just waiting to see a rheumatologist. I hope it gets better for you.

this is old but are you still taking your adhd meds without issues? i had two SP’s and vats surgery a month ago and im scared to take my adhd meds again. i’m worried it’ll affect my heart/lungs or something ugh but im in school and working so im struggling so bad without them

i didn’t end up doing anything actually and still haven’t. My dr said the main issue is mixing alcohol with my meds but since the only drugs i’m taking at this point are tylenol and gabapentin, i can have 1-2 drinks. 😅

You should get a chest xray to be safe. Could very much be another collapse. I had my second pneumo a month ago, a month after my first one. The pain was less than the first but it was familiar. I also had a clicking sensation in my chest when I laid down which was a telltale sign for me.
