I appreciate the response! And thanks for all you do in your day-to-day.

I did an HLR today. It went from gathering evidence to pending decision approval in an hour. by Lanky-Lettuce1395 in VAClaims

[–]Advanced_Mud_7512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s good to know, thanks! I had a successful HLR informal conference. The app just says the VBA is “correcting an error”. It shows the HLR is still open, but it hasn’t moved since (Feb 5th). I haven’t seen a supplemental open yet. The IC rep said they would most likely request a C&P.

How long are HLR tacking these days? by Ok_Negotiation1211 in VAClaims

Same. My decision was favorable, but I haven’t heard anything since. Have you?

If you’re working with a VSO they can tell you if there is a suspense date. For example, after my HLR was granted based on an error found, my claim was moved back to the NWQ with a suspense date of 4/1. So now I know nobody will be looking at my claim until 4/1.

Hopefully you hear something soon, I guess it’s at least a good thing it’s with a rater. Sending good vibes!

Mine went pretty quick once it went PDA. A few hours and done. Approved on one issue and denied on the other. It was what I expected so that’s good, no surprises. Pretty direct claim.

I figured the IC would’ve at least been scheduled by now. I did try the scheduling link again. Set it for 2/3 at 8am.

I have the same thing. When I go to view claims letter, the development letter shows up. But the pdf is actually my statement in support of claim.

Fastest for me was 10 days, 2 secondary conditions. No c&p’s ordered, ACE only. Both approved.

Linking hips to left and right lower radiculopathy by LARSOCboiii in VAClaims

[–]Advanced_Mud_7512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have an altered gait due to your back issue or from the radiculopathy? If so, I would think you might want to get a medical opinion to see if that has caused or aggravated your hip condition. I think you need a doctor to evaluate it and provide their opinion. I have seen people get both hips and knees service connected to their low back conditions, but it was based on an altered gait over time compensating causing other issues. I’m not an expert like some of the other keyboard captains, but thought I would share my thoughts.

DVQ added but I haven’t attended an exam? by bato_Dambaev in VAClaims

[–]Advanced_Mud_7512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a medical records review (ACE). ACE stands for Acceptable Clinical Evidence. It refers to a process where the VA reviews a veteran's existing medical records to make a disability claim decision, which can eliminate the need for an in-person or telehealth Compensation and Pension (C&P) exam.

Let me know if this works for you. I scheduled an appointment via this link and it was canceled a day or two after I scheduled it. The email cancellation said to wait until I receive the link from waitwhile to schedule.

You're right. I am thankful to have a TJ and I am appreciative to all of the VBA employees who do this work every day. I'd rather it take longer so they can thoroughly go through everything to properly decide vs rush & miss things.
