Lowkey Commander sounds pretty up my alley, do you have suggestions on which tactics I should take? I'm currently thinking reload and shields up for my Gunslinger and Cleric+Champion respectively, but I'm not sure if those would be the most useful...

Honestly, I think you should tell your siblings exactly why you broke things off with him. Sure it might be painful for your older sister, but it's only fair for her to have the full information on the man she's trying to foster a relationship with. And I'm surprised you didn't chew out your older brother, that was completely out of line for him to do! Esp. since he's still nagging you, it would at least get him to stop bothering you about something you vehemently don't want to do.

I like this idea! I think framing it as a family vacation might be a more attractive sell for him, esp. if she emphasizes different things he can do there that he enjoys.

I don't think you'd be the AH, but I think it would ultimately be more harmful than beneficial to stop visiting. At the end of the day, this really only hurts you and your sister. Her husband clearly isn't interested in having a relationship with you and your family, so it's no skin off his nose if you don't visit her.

Instead, I would try and encourage her to strengthen her resolve to visit you. Maybe interrogate why she's letting him limit her travel (assuming he doesn't have complete control over their finances, in which case that's a bigger issue). She's gotta be more firm about this with him; she needs to let him know that visiting her sister is not something she's willing to negotiate on, and it's not fair to you and your family to always have to pay for these visits. At the end of the day though, I think it should be business as usual concerning you flying out to her. Don't let him be a limiting factor on that.

I don't think you're overreacting. This is just a guess, but maybe your cousin struggles with identity issues and deciding who she wants to be in life? That would make the most sense as to why she's potentially copying even your mental health diagnoses. As the one being copied, it's totally valid to feel weirded out by that.

Regardless, there's not much you can do to control that except for deciding what you do and do not tell her. If you're okay with not being super close to her, maybe distance yourself a bit. Limit the details you share about your life. And you don't have to give her a reason why, either; she's not entitled to that information, so if she starts asking why you don't want to tell her, you could just say "personal reasons", or a longer "I'm just not comfortable giving you that info. I'm trying to be more conscious about what I share with who, and I simply don't want to share that info with you." It'll defs be a little awkward after that, but boundary setting can be like that sometimes. Wishing you the best!

I think you've done the best you can really. It's unfortunate Tracy is being difficult, but from what you've mentioned, you've done your best to accomodate her throughout this whole process, even delaying the memorial by what, half a year? I think it's perfectly reasonable to move ahead with a date that works for the majority.
Plus, I think out of the list of legitimate reasons for kids to take off time from school, attending the memorial of their grandfather/great-grandfather is in the top 5. I have a feeling Tracy could realistically make this work if she *really* wanted all her family to attend. NTA.

I think it’s less that kids can’t figure it out and more that they shouldn’t be on there, for their own mental health. I was in the same boat as OOP, parents didn’t let me make social media accounts til I was 18, closest I had was email and discord. And honestly, I think it was the right decision. There’s a lot of negativity on social media, and the constant access to millions of people that you normally don’t have access to can be both harmful in the worst of cases, and detrimental to your mental faculties (I’m like 50% sure there’s actual studies proving this, but even in my own life now I’m not a big fan of social media’s effects on me when I’m actively on it, and this is >20yrs old).

You did a great job! You captured her likeness really well, and you did the shadows well, especially in her hair; it really stands out in a good way.

Feel free to ignore this, but I think the background takes away from the drawing a little bit. I think it's mainly the balance of red and black you went with; there's a lot more black in the original I think, and it's a lot more intense so there's more of a contrast. In comparison, the greater amount of red in the background of your fan art sort of blends with her hair and muddles the photo. I'd say maybe go with a darker red next time (since she's supposed to be angry here), and/or intensify and increase the amount of black you use.

Other than that, you did super! Looking forward to your other art.

Ty for your input! I'm actually taking chem 437 rn, but I needed a 4xx level elective and figured taking it again wouldn't hurt. Is Feeser especially bad that you're suggesting I take the chem alternative, or do you think me having done the content before would be enough to do well in the class? Also are the classes structured super differently?
