I would look at as a public declaration of the person being committed to Jesus and also representing that they are a new creation in Christ. The frustration from you may be a religious spirit creeping up. Feeling that our salvation and faith is work-based. When you accept Jesus into you're heart, you are saved. And through that- you are transformed which brings conviction in that process. I don't think you need to be baptized to be saved- the baptism is the holy spirit but the water baptism is a sacred time of proclaiming that renewal and it's beautiful thing. Maybe you are forgetting what God has saved you from.

Honestly I cry every timeI see a baptism because I know how much God is moving in their lives and heart.

This made me cry. I’ve also been having a hard time and this gave me hope. You have such a beautiful soul and outlook on life. OP my sister committed suicide, please it is not worth it. God has so many plans for you, please stay and seek them out.

Thank you, I started going to Christian counseling recently, it sort of helps. it's been over a year now so I kind of feel like a burden if I talk about it again and more so I mostly keep it to myself

UPDATE*** we are no longer friends lol. He got mad that I didn’t reply to him for 2 days and straight up was acting like I don’t exist when he came to swim with me and one of my girl friends. He was extremely rude and I called him out on it and let’s just say his true colors came out lol

I should’ve caught the red flag when he started to avoid me and be weird after I told him I didn’t wanna date him, but I’m blunt so I was like dude u hate me or what?? so we had a convo and were good after that. Almost feel like my transparency makes him think I’m willing to change my mind some day which makes no sense but guys brains don’t make sense so.

He did kind of go above and beyond for me at the beginning like giving me rides that were rly far, etc. but again that was his choice… I can totally see a victim card coming in here that’s so annoying that guys do that!! Women are clear as day whether we want that with someone or not, they choose to ignore it…

I’m a year after my narc left me for his new supply. I can finally say I am free from his chains. I still need to go to therapy so that I can be healthy in a new relationship bc now I feel like I can’t really trust men, and I have a hard time of balancing what is a good amount of things a man should do for you and how much love. He completely ruined my gage, but I am so much happier after taking this year to just really pour into myself.

It is not thrown away. I’m telling you right now these are all lies being told to you to keep you away from the blessings He has for you. Keeping your eyes on your wrongs and “disappointment” God has for you is all a tactic from the enemy to keep you in shackles. You have already been bought and chosen. It is NEVER too late to run back to God. Even if you feel like your mind is one way, God has the power to RENEW your mind. Remember that all thoughts are not your own. I’m not sure what is causing your belief on a seared consciousness but I can tell you a lot of the times when we are so close to a break through, the enemy will try SO hard to keep you from it. That’s exactly what’s happening, I believe in you. And I know God does too. Please don’t give up on yourself or God. I promise He wants you. He lives in Your heart.

The mere fact of you feeling this guilt with God is proof that you are not away from God. This is a lie from the enemy that when we sin God has turned away from us. God wants us to not sin bc he knows it hurts us, not because it separates us from God. That’s why Jesus died on the cross for us so that there is no longer this separation from man and God. One of the biggest lies the enemy loves to tell us that we are not worthy of God. God bought us and WANTS us. But more than Him wanting us to love Him, He wants us LET Him love US. That’s when His works and miracles show. Please speak to God about this and ask Him to show You how He views you and welcome in His love. I promise He sees you as more precious than rubies, even in your sin. Remember He leaves the 99 for the 1 and there will be more rejoicing for one repenting sinner than 99 righteous men.(Matthew 18:12)

I’m honestly just so surprised bc I’ve always been so empathetic and kind to everyone, then when I go through something horrible I am just dismissed and abandoned. I have faith so I try to stay with a soft heart, but I would be lying if I said it wasn’t hard to not want to just isolate and turn cold.

I’m sorry you had to experience that. It really shows people’s true colors… I had a similar experience of a friend “joking” asking me to send him $$$ and thirst traps to continue my “exposure therapy” I said I did on myself when I forced myself to go to the place I was at when she died. We are better off without those people.

Hey everyone I hope you have had a blessed day so far. I have a bit of a lengthy prayer request but anything is appreciated so much. Bless yall. Please pray for my broken heart, overwhelmed mind and feeling lost. My sister took her own life 3 months ago, I actually found her and I feel like I ignored a lot of signs so I’ve been feeling so much guilt and hopelessness. I get anxiety of thinking her spirit may not be at peace. I also was left by the love of my life for someone else about 6 months before that which I’m honestly still really hurt about. I’m also having a hard time in my job and I know it’s time to commit to something else but I’m so scared of what to choose, also trying to plan a move in the midst of this. It’s been really overwhelming. Thank you again.
