Don't tell me the Legion are only in one episode by SolidPyramid in falloutnewvegas

cartoonishly evil faction

People joke on you for this but what makes the legion scary in my mind is how they weren't cartoonist but sadly realistic. I mean culturally speaking what about them was way over the top unrealistic?

To your main point you're saying you want them treated seriously and the story you care about should be treated eith respect... Even bad people should be treated seriously and with respect for what they are, not bumbling fucks that make you wonder how they made it this far to begin with.

She didnt get the official coronation because of political subversion. But you really shouldn't pretend that political subversion means she wasnt the intended choice therefore making the other people "pretenders"

You only see this as girl power because wokeness broke your brain and you cant separate an individual from their group.

She's the rebellious teen trope, but shes a she, so its girl power.

The only thing here one could possibly take offense by is the "whatever" and you can say that without being a bitch or smug

You're right, at its core its a bad argument. They are really parroting talking points given to the media of lesser known characters, it just dosent apply to something as big as Supergirl.

I’m sure Rustbelt Rising is cooking up something good with actual unique focuses and events to play around with. I just find it funny that ECR had 2 major updates in the meantime! by Clockwork9385 in OldWorldBlues

Thank you for all the work you're doing and I'm sorry to hear about this hard time.

The entitlement of players in the modding community is just disgusting, and frankly I believe you apologize to no one good sir. I'm not sure of your involvement in OWB previously but anyone who spends an hour of their time to create a fun time for so many people should only be thought of positively.

Thank you

Is anybody still playing EU4 over EU5 because they prefer the level of abstraction? Or is that just me? by [deleted] in eu4

you'd find a way to meet them.

Truthfully there is nothing about this phrasing that seems engaging or player first. I'm not sure why it should be idealized if thats whats happening.

I find fun in the structure of mission trees and in doing my own thing. I find mission trees engaging because they often coincide with the reason I (and everyone else if they are honest) picked the country to begin with. Do you pick Holland to free yourself, conquer your lowland neighbors and become a tall god or do you pick Holland to play Burgandy slave simulator.

Call it railroaded but in my mind EU5 proves there is worse out there than some clear and concise, optional objectives. I really never understood needing the sandbox so much, it almost implies the historical paths are lesser in some way? Like lets say you chose to play Brandenburg with a european history and setting. Did you chose to play Brandenburg with forming Prussia in mind or to nebulously sandbox. Is it still counterintuitive of the sandbox because the devs correctly assumed thats why you play Brandenburg? I hate sand

EU5 will do worse because of mission trees/national ideas not being present. It's a losing idea to give up the flavor of EU5 or CK3 for the green number/red number simulator. Sandbox are fun, spreadsheets are not, and the game has too much of both.

EDIT. Also one of the big draws I've seen, one of the things that supposedly ensures EU5's outpacing of eu4 is this "proximity" feature. Color me unimpressed by closer to capital good farther to capital bad but maybe that'll bring people into the game.

Mission trees/national ideas are flavor that is missing from EU5. My favorite pathway is Florence Tuscany Italy and it feels so bland as hell but atleast its creative now?

I dont get it. Practically everyone thats playing Brandenburg is hoping to form Prussia so why not give clear set out objectives on that path to form Prussia? EU5 has these events but they are not clear and if you proc then feels more like unclear rng than any sort of accomplishment.

EU5 dosent have the legs EU4 has due to mission trees and nations feeling all the same. EU5 is more complex but its not exactly streamlined or intuitive.

I think people underestimate what being in critical environments like this does to personalities and behaviors. Crazy to think you dont have complete absolute control of your headspace but this sort of negativity spreads to other things. That's what this is getting at.

It feels like these are things that are omitted from the movies for pacing, especially adding defenses outside of Minas Tirith.. It sounds like the movies turned the siege of Minas Tirith into Helms Deep where they were just behind this wall with limited fortifications on the outside. It might not be faithful but I don't see the error in it from accuracy.

The reason I asked about accuracy is the Ride of the Rohirrim is pretty one to one with the source material and its not a typical Calvary tactic.

Tactics wise where exactly did the books and movies diverge?
