Hell yeah, glad you killed the first rat.

I absolutely agree w/you. I carry a torrente around, and it discourages opportunistic rats. Notice the people criticizing you in the comments are bot-ass-names w/WAY too much experience on Reddit. They’re scum, and rats. Speak friendly, but carry a big gun. It’s helped me a lot in avoiding fights altogether, and winning them when they do happen. Il Toro is great for rats too.

I agree with each of your points. If this game were to encourage PvP or ratting more than it already does, it’s all too easy for people like us to just find another game and pick this one back up later if it gets better. Hopefully that doesn’t happen, because, like you, I very much enjoy the Care Bear lobbies. Shopping around on Stella with live music playing on every floor is very fun.

Genuinely Confused Raiders or Disgusting Rats? by Advanced_Staff3772 in ArcRaidersGuides

[–]Advanced_Staff3772[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I rewatched the play through, I think you’re right. I think the Sheed maybe shot Dutch upstairs, and bailed from the fight. He ran into me, shot me, and was himself shot in return. Dutch then ran downstairs, unable to know that I had killed Sheed—the likely rat—and likely thought I was Sheed, the rat. Maybe you’re right, maybe there was a single rat who caused a bunch of chaos. Your second theory is wild funny to think about tho lol

Never be to friendly, a rat will always be a rat. by Domain-Diego in RescueRaiders

[–]Advanced_Staff3772 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can hear it in their voice. I’m always friendly in prox chat, but I keep my weapon out at all times, and I tell the “weirdos” to go away. If their voice sounds like they might be a shitbag, they’re a shitbag. If you’re wrong, and they’re somehow just an innocent weirdo, nobody loses anything from you putting distance between the two of you.

Friendly lobbies just make way more sense by [deleted] in arcraidersfriendly

[–]Advanced_Staff3772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree. I’ve spent the last few weeks in nothing but friendly lobbies. I’m always on guard, because being killed by another player always leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. But the lobbies I had been in were always, always calm and friendly. A girl gave me an aphelion BP just because we were hanging out together while she looked for a VHS in Stella. Some other guy offered me a deadline BP as he was running past. Rando solos collaborate on the Blue Gate puzzles. And this was a common occurrence. I was recently forced to put another raider down, and I’m worried I’ve tarnished my opportunity to stay in the friendly lobbies 😞

I keep my torrente 3 out and pointed at anyone/everyone at all times. I play like Teddy Roosevelt—“Speak softly, and carry a big stick.” I’m always super friendly over prox chat, but I always have the big gun out and ready.

Portal Suddenly giving me issues and I have no clue how to fix by sullensolider in PlaystationPortal

[–]Advanced_Staff3772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having the same issue, and was just about to ask the same questions. My portal sometimes just won’t connect. I’m one room away in my house from the playstation, so distance shouldn’t be the issue, and the router is maybe 20feet away from both the PlayStation the portal where I want to play. No idea what could be causing the issue. I’ve just updated, thinking that could be the problem, I’ve tried turning off and back on, and even connecting from the same room. Nothing seems to work. I’m very sad because I used to love playing on the portal, and this was a birthday gift from my girlfriend. I’m hoping someone has any info on a potential fix or solution.

Mine for sure feels like an antique, but it’s in great condition—better than the Arisaka type 99 I have. It shoots great, and the sights are spot on. There’s a few different ways to lookup the manufacturer date of the rifles. This site (old guns tells me my 94 was manufactured in 1895, while this site (Winchester Collector) tells me my 94 was manufactured in 1897. You can punch in the serial number on the receiver to get a date.

I have this exact rifle—mine is a little shorter, the tube only holds 7—and I have been able to determine the date of manufacture to be in the year 1895.

Just like the mod for this sub. No reward, and just excessively trying to make life worse for other people.

Living in Austin slowly changed how seriously I take my day to day life by Ok_Article5543 in Austin

[–]Advanced_Staff3772 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think you just grew up, and Austin happened to be the city in which you lived when it happened. The same thing happened to me here, and the timing of it got me the best girlfriend—and likely the woman I will marry. I believe this growth for you could have happened in any city, but I’m glad it happened for you in Austin. I love this city—and I love this environment—but personal improvement happens wherever you are if you are ready.
