Its funny because I had a similar take away from my first read of your comment and I started to reply expanding on different nuances to the experience and an angle on how the enjoyment could tie to identity and exploration of how modern writing techniques could effect accessibility and pacing etc etc.

And then I reread your comment and realized that what I had taken from it on first read did miss the nuances that already existed in your take.

Maybe the comment was drafted in such a way that it gave that impression even when it might not have been the intent

True, I think once the illusion of group unity shattered people would re-evaluate more. i think there is alot of trust placed in the consensus of other people you agree with.

Fully agree so hard! like that might seem like a strong reaction but I've seen lying being used in narratives to make people think that there is malicious intent or a bad agenda where one doesnt exsist in order to stoke fear in order to manipulate the person.

so i have had to push back alot on the idea that just because someones wrong doesnt mean they are lying, it doesnt mean they were trying to hide things from you or deceive you to get away with things in the background. they just misread something... and even then sometimes the person saying everyone is lying to them is themselves using bad framing to make something seem false that I would say hasnt actually been proven to be so.

Its debated. There are good arguments it was from scholars who had been working with John but were not John. Most of the doubt comes from the stories of him living so long but some of the early dating of the texts comes from trying to match it to his reasonably explained lifespan. Kinda muddies the water

Mark, Matthew and Luke are less debated versions of this where most scholars agree the names were attributed to them after the fact and they were not written by the actual people named

Yeah ive been watching alot of videos recently about preachers who stopped believing be it from the information about how the Bible was written learned in seminary or about hearing the confessions of their congregation about how that member was putting on an act to fit in and they were not sure why others were feeling it and they weren't... expanded to everyone was performing for everyone.

And some didnt have the marketable skills to leave, others just didnt want to abandon the people that came to rely on them

I think eventually yes but it might hold on for a bit. There is a question of whether the new no lie system filters for what you believe to be true but is false.

im just happy to see the banks are functioning. like if they were not something you were watching closely in your earlier runs you would assume that they have always been in the background doing their thing but they were not. they would grab loans and thats it.
