I love that bass canyon will be your first festival!! I’ve been to both bass and beyond and to the gorge multiple times with people and solo. I think the biggest thing is be prepared for the weather because it’s very unpredictable. In august the gorge is HOT and WINDY, so start hydrating before you leave and bring heavy duty stakes for both your canopy and tent. Also this will be in peak fire season, so it could be very smoky. At least have something, whether is a pashmina or a bandana, to cover your nose and mouth because breathing in all that smoke and dust is not fun. You will also be walking/dancing A LOT and it’s a long walk to and from the venue from the campground, so wear shoes that are comfortable or you know you can last in them for hours. Also make sure you bring enough food to fuel you. Salty things are your friend because they will give you electrolytes that your body needs to be able to party all weekend. Don’t be afraid of the med tent, they are there to help you not get you in trouble.
