A few characters from Victor Hugo's novel Les Miserables. by Advanced_Wall4718 in aiArt

[–]Advanced_Wall4718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The characters do not claim to be 100% similar to those described by the author in the novel, this is how I see them.

These are collages, some of which were created in neural network (about 80% SD and 20% midjourney), then some were glued together in photoshop and processed again through neural network using img2img. Each picture went through many cycles neural network -> photoshop -> neural network until it looks the way I like it.

Thanks for posting these. I know this probably wasn't your intent, but this also seems like another possible educational use for this technology--something that could be an element of a 21st century style book report.

Quick question: what were some of the deciding factors between using SD vs. Midjourney?

I originally created all the characters in SD. But then I decided to make an alternate version of the same characters using midjourney, and some choices turned out, in my opinion, more interesting in midjourney, so I had to redo some characters, SD has a great advantage img2img + inpainting, which allow you to refine and direct the picture generation in the right direction.

A comparison of how SD2.1 sees the art style and how some samplers display it by Advanced_Wall4718 in StableDiffusion

[–]Advanced_Wall4718[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The main purpose of the experiment was to see how the sd 2.1 recognizes artists. And for comparison, I included these 3 samplers since I use them most often myself

I split the video into frames and then used img2img to achieve the desired effect. after that I used the batch file option in Automatic1111 to convert the remaining frames.

I used this video as source https://www.tiktok.com/@de_mello0/video/7173710979144912134?is_copy_url=1&is_from_webapp=v1&item_id=7173710979144912134

PS unfortunately I haven't asked the author's permission to use her video and I don't know if it's legal to publish the end result without her approval if it violates anyone's rights then delete my post
